Welcome!

My Background: I grew up on the East Coast as the son of Korean immigrant parents, but eventually found my way to the Northwest while pursuing a career as a pastor. Over time, this place became home. I met my wife here, and we’re now raising two kids who bring both joy and their own set of challenges. Our daughter’s rare genetic condition has deeply shaped how I hold space and show up for others.

My Approach: I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel stuck, unsure of themselves, or wounded by painful relationship patterns. In our work together, I focus on building a steady sense of safety and trust, one that creates space for honest exploration and real change. My approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy and psychodynamic work, which means we pay attention to how early experiences shape the way you relate to yourself and others today. I also draw from other methods as needed, guided by the philosophy to utilize whatever is helpful. The process is tailored to who you are and what you are hoping to shift.

My Education & Credentials:

  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT-A) in the state of Washington (License#:70117257)

  • M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University, M.Div. from Regent College, and a B.A. in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.

  • Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT)
